When Prophecy Fails Band Photo Shoot at Compton Bay

When Prophecy Fails Band Photo Shoot at Compton Bay by Jason Swain. It’s really been a full and interesting week of work, today (Saturday) will be the fifth photo-shoot of the week, and each one has been of a very different subject. Back on Tuesday i did a location shoot with the band “When Prophecy Fails” along the Islands South West coast. This shot is from the steps to the beach at the Compton Farm end of Compton Bay, but the majority of shots were taken along the coast at Brook.

The weather didn’t look very promising, but we made the most of the heavy overcast skies and tried to make them part of the theme.

This two frame vertorama (vertical panorama) was shot with the Sigma 12-24mm wide angle lens on the Canon 6d full frame camera for an almost fish-eye amount of wideness.

Exif Data = f/4.5 at 1/320 ISO125

I genuinely had a great time working with these guys, if you do the facebook thing, please head over to www.facebook.com/WhenProphecyFails?fref=ts and give them a LIKE.

I shot a lot of different styles on the day, I’m not sure yet which one they will choose as the cover for their new EP, but you can see all the choices (around 150 shots) in the ‘galleries’ section of my portfolio website.

I might also try and set up a little facebook vote for the best photo this evening, if anyone has done something like that before and has any tips for me? they’d be greatly appreciated.
