The Storm before the calm before the storm by Jason Swain. Shot around lunchtime today (27/10/2013) from up on the cliffs at Freshwater Bay whilst it was blowing a right hoolie! And its now gone eerily calm this evening before the weather gathers itself back up again and the St Jude Storm arrives overnight on the South Coast and the Isle of Wight.
If you look closely in this vertorama, you can just about make out the tiny figure of a kitesurfer in Freshwater Bay, I could honestly barely stand up on the cliffs so its an incredible effort for them to be out there in conditions like that.
More shots will be posted on my flickr account where I zoomed in on the action, really showing the size of the swell out there today.
2 Shot vertorama (vertical panorama) shot with the Sigma 50-500mm telephoto lens on the Canon 6d camera.
Exif Data = f/4.5 at 1/500 iso100 50mm
