Springtime daffodils at St Agnes Church, Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight

Springtime daffodils at  St Agnes Church, Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight by Jason Swain. It took its time, but the Spring of 2013 is well and truly here on the Isle of Wight now, and i’ve caught some lovely spring sunshine and bright yellow daffodils at St Agnes, the thatched church at Freshwater Bay, to mark the occasion.

Shot with shallow DoF using the Canon 50mm f/1.2L lens on a Canon 6d camera body.

Exif Data = f/1.4 at 1/4000 iso100 50mm

St Agnes’s Church at Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight, was built in 1908 on land donated by Hallam Tennyson, the son of the Victorian Poet Laureate, Alfred Lord Tennyson, using stone from a derelict farmhouse nearby. It’s the only thatched church on the island, and one of only 8 in the country
