An Isle of Wight Wedding Blog

An Isle of Wight Wedding Blog by Jason Swain. Getting the gear ready for another wedding this weekend, I thought It’s about time I started to put together a few photo blogs from all these lovely Isle of Wight weddings i’m lucky enough to shoot. I’ll do a few of the recent ones first, before going back to some old favourites. This first one is from the wedding of James and Miranda Wheeler, which took place at St Peter’s Church in Seaview, Isle of Wight on the 10th May 2014. It was followed by a reception held at the Puckpool Tea Gardens, also in Seaview, Isle of Wight.

And seeing as this is a ‘photography’ blog, a little techie info is in order. I wear two cameras when shooting events and weddings, both full-frame Canon 6D’s  using a variety of lenses depending on the light and location. My preferred choices would be the Canon 24-70 f2.8L and the Canon 50mm f/1.2L offering me the best combination of portrait shooting in low-light without flash (churches / marquees etc) and beautiful shallow Dof to pick the subjects out from the background. Clicking on any image should load a slideshow where you can scroll through the images and view the exif data etc.

This is just an edited selection of images / highlights from the day, to give an example of how i work without overloading you the reader with images. James and Miranda like the reportage ‘unposed’ style and also the occasional vintage edit. If you would like to see more, you can view the complete gallery from this and many more Isle of Wight weddings in the gallery section of my portfolio website http://www.jasonswain.co.uk/
