Isle of Wight Surfing by Jason Swain. Another shot from a little evening surf session at Freshwater Bay a few weeks back. Not the best or biggest waves you’ll ever see, but this little winter session did deliver some really beautiful photographic moments, as well as supplying a few uncrowded waves for the lucky few locals (Ian Pacey and Matt Harwood) out there as the sun went down.
It was my first time trying out the Canon 6D with the Sigma 50-500mm telephoto lens, and the really noticeable difference was the lack of reach compared to using the 7d where the crop-sensor multiplies the zoom by 1.6 making it effectively around 800mm!
