Isle of Wight Red Squirrel by Jason Swain. Carpentry Tips #27. Always remove your paw before repairing the fence (no squirrels
were harmed in the making of this shot)
A little dip in the photo archives for a visit from one of my favourite little red squirrel furry friends. If there was a photographic challenge to catch a red squirrel and some bokeh in the same shot, I’d enter this image.
Shot in my back garden, Totland Bay, Isle of Wight, with the Sigma 50-500mm telephoto lens (at 450mm) on a Canon 7d Camera body. Exif Data = f/6.3 @1/250 ISO 1000. Looking back on this now, I’m pleased with the shot and think the 7D is performing really well at such a relatively high ISO.
