Isle of Wight Pepperpot Rocket Launch – Shooting for the stars

Isle of Wight Pepperpot Rocket Launch  – Shooting for the stars by Jason Swain. A bit of imagination and creative compositional work by lining up the elements to create the illusion of a space rocket launch scene up on St Catherines Down, Chale, Isle of Wight, with the Pepperpot lighthouse (St Catherines Oratory) featuring as a medieval spaceship.

Taken early March 2013 with a good covering of snow on the ground to complete the strangeness of the scene.

Shot with the Sigma 12-24mm wide angle lens on the Canon 6d camera body. Used f/22 to get the solar flare i wanted to make the concept work.

exif data = f/22 at 1/80 ISO 100
