Snow and Surf on the Island of Wight by Jason Swain. We woke up to sight of a late winter / early spring blizzard and plenty of snow on the ground here on the Isle of Wight this morning. And coming right after we just had some amazing waves here yesterday, it prompted me to dig out this vertorama (vertical panorama) from the recent archives of a cold water surfing session at Freshwater Bay back in January 2013.
If you look carefully, you can just spot a couple of dedicated surfers, and believe it or not, i know who it is up and riding, just by the way he holds his hand like that! (Ian Pacey)
Two frame vertorama shot with the sigma 50-500mm telephoto lens (at 50mm) on the Canon 7D camera body.
Exif Data = f/4.5 at 1/250 ISO 200
