Complex Morphism on Brook Beach by Jason Swain. Even on the darkest days, the isle of wight coastline is beautiful, it’s just that sometimes you have to try a little harder to see it.
This is the second in a series of three gloomy Vertoramas (vertical panoramas) I created just before i did the recent photo-shoot for the band “When Prophecy Fails” at Brook Bay (just along from Compton Bay)
The weather was looking especially bleak at the time, but i tried to embrace the conditions and find some beauty in the limited colour pallet and heavy atmosphere.
If you are interested in seeing the shots taken with the band in them, you can see around 150 of them in the ‘galleries’ section of my website www.jasonswain.co.uk
Two frame Vertorama shot with the Sigma 12-24mm wide angle lens on the Canon 6d camera body.
Exif data = f/5 at 1/640 iso100 12mm
Edit in Lightroom for extra gloom, vertorama assembled manually in photoshop.
